Major highlights of this year’s event, aside from showcasing Yewa cultural heritage, include event lecture by the Hon. Minister of State for Environment, Dr. Iziaq ‘Kunle Salako on the theme: ‘Harnessing Our Potentials and Opportunities Towards 2027 and Beyond’. The choice of Dr. Kunle Salako as Guest Lecturer at the event is strategic and significant in many ways. He is a proud Yewa man, has for many years committed himself to the issues of development in Yewaland and as minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he is at a vantage position to do justice to the topic and draw global attention to Yewaland’s huge human and natural resources.
Other very significant program of the event is the investiture of Senator (Aremo) Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, YAYI, CON, as the Grand Patron of Yewaland Development Forum. The investiture is reflective of the hopes and desires of millions of Yewa indigenes at home and in the diaspora. It is both symbolic and prophetic and also a token of appreciation for the unprecedented human capital and infrastructural development efforts the distinguished Senator has brought to Ogunwest, particularly, Yewaland, it is also a practical demonstration and attestation of the Yewa peoples unwavering commitment to YAYI’s sociopolitical development agenda for the future of Ogun State.
