President Bola Tinubu signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law on Wednesday. The bill aims to reinstate the old anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.” Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced this during a joint plenary session attended by Tinubu.
The final assent to the bill marks a shift from the current anthem, “Arise O Compatriots.” The bill was swiftly approved by both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
