TheWednesday, May 1, 2024, has been designated as a public holiday by the Federal Government to mark Workers’ Day. This announcement came through a press release issued by Aishetu Ndayako, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, on Tuesday.
The statement, signed by Ndayako, conveyed the message from Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, stressing the significance of excellence, efficiency, and fairness in labor practices.
Tunji-Ojo, in alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s administration, reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting innovation, productivity, and inclusivity within workplaces. He emphasized the administration’s dedication to prioritizing citizens’ safety and well-being, especially in light of the challenges posed by climate change.
