The House of Representatives called on the Minister of Petroleum Resources to address the widespread shortage of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol. This directive came after a motion of urgent public importance was raised by Shehu Ajilo, the representative for Makarfi/Kudan Federal Constituency, during Tuesday’s plenary session.
President Bola Tinubu holds the position of Minister of Petroleum Resources, while Heineken Lokpobiri serves as the Minister of State (Petroleum Resources). However, the lawmakers did not specify whether Tinubu or Lokpobiri was to appear before them.
The Minister is expected to provide insights into the fuel crisis and propose measures to alleviate it.
