The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof Ishaq Oloyede, announced the release of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results during a press conference in Abuja on Monday. A total of 1,989,668 candidates registered for the examination, marking a 24.7% increase compared to 2023 figures. Of these, 1,904,189 candidates were present and verified, 2,899 were present but unverified, and 80,810 were absent.
Candidates can check their results via SMS or the JAMB official portal. To check via SMS, candidates are instructed to send an SMS with the phone number used for registration to 55019 or 66019, ensuring a minimum airtime balance of N50, and typing ‘UTME RESULT’ or ‘UTMERESULT’.
Alternatively, they can check their results on the official JAMB result checking portal by inputting their JAMB Registration Number or email address and clicking on “Check My Result”.
