Titilope Gbadamosi, Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Youth Initiatives, has urged Nigerian youths to prioritize collaboration through innovation as a means to confront challenges and unlock opportunities for national development.
Gbadamosi delivered this call to action during her keynote address at the National Youth Summit, themed “Shaping Our Future Through Innovation and Collaboration.” The event was organized by the Nigerian Students Union in the UK, Nigerian Youth in Diaspora, and the National Youth Council of Nigeria.
Addressing attendees at the University of Westminster, Gbadamosi emphasized the importance of harnessing the collective potential of Nigerian youth to drive transformative change. She underscored the imperative for collaborative efforts in overcoming shared challenges and seizing opportunities for national advancement.
Additionally, Gbadamosi highlighted President Tinubu’s efforts in youth development and creating an enabling environment for accessing and utilizing opportunities for nation-building.
“In today’s pivotal moment in history, the collective will and unity of purpose among our youth hold the key to shaping Nigeria’s future,” remarked Gbadamosi. She reiterated President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing youth empowerment and addressing multifaceted issues affecting young people in Nigeria.
Gbadamosi urged attendees to emulate the spirit of unity and purpose displayed by past generations, citing Nigeria’s diverse strengths and potential for innovation across various sectors. She stressed the need for concerted action in harnessing Nigeria’s vast resources and talent pool to revitalize the economy and promote industrialization, digitization, and creative arts.
Referencing recent accolades such as Goldman Sachs naming the Naira as the world’s fastest-recovering currency, Gbadamosi highlighted Nigeria’s resilience and potential for growth. She called upon Nigerian youth to actively participate in the nation’s rebuilding efforts, emphasizing the need to summon the collective will to realize Nigeria’s full potential.
